Wedding workshops to make your big day extra special
Fresh from being crowned the UK’s Best Stately Home Wedding Venue at the UK Wedding Awards 2020, Matfen Hall is holding its very own wedding masterclass in March.
Couples are being invited to forget the old and learn something new at the free event, which promises to bring some of the North East’s top wedding suppliers together under our grand roof for an afternoon of workshops and inspiration.
So, whether you want to brush up on your first dance moves; try your hand at calligraphy; indulge in a skincare regime class; or get advice about how to put any wedding anxiety on the back burner, there’ll be a workshop to sign up for.
Sales and Revenue Manager, Victoria Patton, who got married at Matfen Hall herself at the end of last year, said: “The Matfen Masterclass really is a one of a kind event in the North East – offering lots of chances for couples to pick up invaluable tips and advice which they can use when planning their big day.
“Offering a series of workshops means that couples will have time to learn and ask questions, rather than just picking up a leaflet and moving on.
“We really think they’ll find it useful and we’re delighted with the line-up of wedding suppliers, experts and real-life brides who will all be on hand to share their knowledge and experience.”
The Matfen Masterclass event takes place from 10am to 2pm on March 8, 2020. Although admission is free, booking is essential for the day.
To book your place, email firstname.lastname@example.org and make sure to include which workshops you’d like to attend. For full details of workshops, visit the Matfen Masterclass page . Meanwhile if you fancy a sweet treat afterwards, there will be a special Afternoon Tea offer available for attendees.

They said: “We are so excited to come along to this immersive event at Matfen Hall. We get a large number of couples on our workshops looking to upskill so that they can put their own touches to their wedding. We will be demonstrating some modern calligraphy and faux calligraphy– and of course we’ll be giving guests the chance to have a go too!

“Working with couples and seeing that stress melt away; hearing about dress fittings where they felt amazing; or incredible wedding day speeches filled with calm and enjoyment, makes my work all worthwhile.”
