Here comes the Bridal Suite at Matfen Hall
Wedding night excitement has moved up a gear here at Matfen Hall Hotel following an extensive refurbishment of our Bridal Suite.
Already a favourite with couples looking to have their big day in our sumptuous and stunning surroundings, the unveiling of a fresh new look for the grand bedroom where newlyweds enjoy their first night of married bliss has been greeted by a wave of excitement.
Briefed to ‘modernise and enhance’ the Bridal Suite, interior designers Space ID have given the already impressive space a gorgeous new look and bright and airy feel.
Working with the beautifully restored and ornate cornice and frieze, the refurbishment has amplified the original features of the room while drawing the beautiful views of the golf course and ornamental gardens inside.
At the centre of the transformation is an almost seven-foot bed, which replaced the traditional four-poster. A richly upholstered, deep buttoned headboard creates a dramatic vertical feature.
New timber wardrobes and dressing table in a contemporary style fit perfectly with the room’s new lighter and brighter elegance, while a vintage French crystal chandelier hangs in the space, providing a dimmable warm hue of light.
For entertainment, there is a classical chesterfield, sofa bed capable of seating wedding parties for a glass or two of Prosecco while the hairdresser/ beautician works across the large dressing table for three and wall mirror.
They’ve really thought of everything.
Victoria Paterson, Sales and Revenue Manager at Matfen Hall, said, “We’re absolutely thrilled with the new Bridal Suite and have been really excited to show it to couples who have chosen Matfen Hall for their special day as well as those who are just starting to make plans for their wedding.
“Following last year’s £250,000 refurbishment of our wedding spaces – The Great Hall, Terrace Room and St Edward’s Bar – turning our attention to the Bridal Suite was the next thing on our list.
“We couldn’t be happier with the transformation, which makes the absolute most of the Hotel’s historic features while bringing this special space up to date in 21st century style.”
